Catalogue Course Description

This class covers the basics of building a Web page. Students will learn basic coding with HTML and explore web development products such as Kompozer to build a web page. Students will also learn how to post a web page on a web server to be seen on the Internet, add graphics, change fonts, add colors, develop navigation, and design tables.

Course Objectives

  • Discuss and apply Internet basics.
  • Employ File Transfer Protocol (FTP) for web site delivery.
  • Employ basic HTML to create a web page.
  • Identify and employ web creation tools.
  • Design and create basic interactive Internet Web Pages incorporating graphics, and tables using basic HTML and/or a web page development software.
  • Create an electronic portfolio showcasing school experiences and projects.
  • Comply to the NIACC IT Professionalism Statement.
