You will have the opportunity and will be expected to take each project to a creative and innovative solution. You can achieve this through following the directions of the design process and spending the necessary time doing exploration and idea development. Do not expect wonderful final solutions through only one or two ideas or variations of them. You will be expected to have many ideas and from them develop the best into roughs and then to a final solution.

All work submitted must be your own; any assignment that includes works done by other students or work taken from other web sites will result in failure for that project and the course. All work must be done during the semester in order to receive a grade.
There will be critiques and in-progress critiques for each project. This will be calculated in to your individual project grade.
Lab days are your opportunity to complete assignments during class time with the instructor present. Always come prepared for these days. Reminder: Lab days count toward your participation grade, so attendance is a good idea.
All students will be required to put in additional computer time if they do not complete work in class. Every effort is made to give ample lab time but if you fall behind then you will need to work extra time.
